Services: Oct 2, 1981, Gipson Funeral Home Chapel Officiate: Rev Michael Scott Burial: Garden of Memories Memorial Park Age: 78 Residence: Lufkin, Texas, most of his life Occupation: retired from Lufkin Industries where he worked in the Material Control Dept Member: Clawson Baptist Church In 1938 he was a livein caretaker of Chambers Park and gave the park it's name. He was affectionately known as the "Monkey Man" who cared for the Lufkin's Original Zoo, comprized of two monkeys, contributed by the late Joe Barnes and Marcus Gibson. He entertained local children with the monkeys and he later cared for the Lufkin Panther's first and only live mascot named "Fang" Survivors: Daughter, Mrs Jeanette Jones and Mrs Laverne Terrall Son, Billy Joe Finley Sister, Mrs Easter Holman 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Father: James Ephraim Finley Mother: Mattie ??? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
