Olen James Jones was born in Gatesville, Texas on February 1, 1919, was a resident of San Bernardino since 1965, died on October 17, 1986 at the age of 67. He was retired from the Air Force after 31 years of service and was the executive assistant to the San Bernardino City Council. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a deacon and licensed minister, a member of Christian Business Men's Committee, life member of Air Force Sergeant Association, life member of Disabled American Veterans, life member Air Force Association and alumnus of Texeas A & M. He was survived by his wife, Isabell Jones of San Bernardino, two sons, James Barrett of Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota and Olen James Jr. of San Bernardino, one daughter, Mary Carolyn Neuraute of Edwards Air Force Base, and one sister, Nerissa Brown of Pensacola, Florida. Services are Tuesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bobbitt Memorial Chapel handling the final arrangements. Father: James Patterson Jones Mother: Alice M O'Boyle
