Former New Bethlehem resident died in Gainesvile Texas, at the age of 89. Born in Lazare, Texas, she was the daughter of Thomas and Carrie Toland Beasley. She married Vernon T. Yount Aug. 10, 1945. He died Oct.16, 2007. Kathleen was a registered nurse by profession, working in various hospitals and doctor's offices as well as being a civilian nurse with the U.S. Army.
