Bio
Alma was born in Hoxeyville to Joseph and Anna (Oplistil) Dostal. She married Joseph R. Perrella May 20, 1942 in Chicago. He preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1993. Mrs. Perrella moved to Traverse City in 2005. She worked in the accounting department at Sears and Roebuck Co. for more than 30 years and had been employed at Montgomery Wards for 15 years where she sold fine jewelry. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Traverse City and was active in the Senior Center in Traverse City. She loved to bake and enjoyed working in her garden. Her children were the light of her life. She is survived by her son, Robert (Susie) Perrella of Huntsville, Ala.; daughters, Donna (Lynn) Long of Wellston and Joyce Melling of Skokie, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers and sisters, Mary Mikl, Emily Starek, Joseph Dostal, Frank Dostal, Lillian Schwierjohn and Helen Kesl.
