Graveside service for Herman Lee Milstead, 82, of Alamogordo, N.M., formerly of Lufkin, will be held at 9 a.m. today at Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine County with the Rev. Skipper Eberlan officiating. Milstead died Aug. 31, 2005, in Alamogordo, N.M. Born Jan. 19, 1923 in Nacogdoches County, he was the son of B. Milstead and Ada Stripling. He was a Baptist and had worked with Moore Brothers Construction. Survivors include his wife, Mary Arnold Milstead of Alamogordo, N.M.; daughters, Ida Bell (Sissy) and Sue Massie, both of Alamogordo, N.M.; step-son, Jerry Terry of Tyler; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine.
