Bio
Mary Ann Wuistinger Nelson departed for her eternal home on June 27th at the age of 91. She was born in Hamilton County, TX on June 5, 1912 to Fritz and Amelia Wuistinger. Mary grew upon a farm with 13 siblings of whom she was the second youngest. During WWII, she and her husband to be, Albert Nelson met in Brownwood, TX at the American Legion Hall. Following his tour of duty, they were joined in marriage on October 20, 1945. They made their home in OKC for most of their 57 years together. Mary worked at American Optical and the OKC Public Schools and was diligent in her volunteer efforts through the VFW Auxiliary until the most recent years. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, then transferred to Messiah Lutheran Church in 1966 with her husband Albert. Mary has been preceded in death by her parents, 8 brothers, and 5 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Albert of the home and numerous nieces and nephews.
