Billie R. Rhodes, 84, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010. Graveside service: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Billie, the son of Grover and Mettie Hudson Rhodes, was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Iredell. He married Norma Ruth Rhodes on July 2, 1944; she preceded him in death Nov. 17, 2010. Survivors: Son, Rickey Rhodes and wife, Debbie; daughter, Sandy Fithian and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Brian Rhodes, Kim Fitzmaurice and Cody Fithian; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Rhodes and Liam Fitzmaurice.
