Vera L. Ashworth, born May 28, 1930, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010. Survivors: Four sons, Marion & Sheryl Ashworth of Valley Head, AL, Harry Ashworth and Darryl Gerle Ashworth of Texas, and Hardy Wesley & Suzette Johnson of Decatur, AL. Two daughters, Mary Gilbert of Rainsville, AL, and Phyllis Massey of Georgia. Three sisters, Edna Hollier and Allie Burris, both of Louisiana, and Danetta Elkins of Texas. Twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shermain & Mary Ashworth. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home.
