Funeral services for Dennis E. Franklin will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010. Dennis was born November 4, 1929 in Cleveland, Texas to Herman and Edna Franklin. Dennis retired as Transportation Supervisor at Nalco Chemical Company. He was also former Chief of Police in Richmond, Texas from 1954 to 1959. Dennis also served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. He was preceeded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Carnes. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Bessie Aileen Franklin, 3 children, Bonnie Gibson and husband John, Sharon Jedlicka and husband Patrick and James Franklin, 2 step-children, Raymond Scarborough and wife Cindy and Gwendolyn Allen, 10 Grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren.
