McMurtry in North Platte, Nebraska in about 1920, and she was widowed in 1941. She married Ernest Eugene McFadden on 3 November 1941, in North Platte, Nebraska. She died on 21 May 1973, in Laramie, Albany, Wyoming, United States, at the age of 71, and was buried in Sutherland, Lincoln, Nebraska, United States.
