Bio

He was a retired rancher and farmer. He had lived at Throckmorton since 1904. He married Maggie Cole on 11 January 1914 at Throckmorton. He was a Methodist. He was a committee member of Throckmorton County Agriculture and Soil Conservation Service and Farmer's Home Administration. Survived by his wife; two sons - Maxwell of Amarillo and J.L., Jr. of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
