Married Hettie C. Vashti Barganier 1/2/1879 in Lowndes Co., AL. After the death of Hettie in 1903 married Jennie Francis Matthews in Texas. Date of Birth and date of death on headstone is different than the date shown on the Texas Death Certificate. Death certificate added as a picture to show the dates. God Bless You......Found in the Dallas Morning News, part 1, page 4,(Mortuary Notice), Dated: September 2, 1930, which reads: J. H. WESTBROOK DIES (special to the news).....LUFKIN, TEXAS, September 1,---J. H. WESTBROOK, 72, died Saturday at his home in Clawson......He is survived by nine children and five step-children; they are J. E. Westbrook of Beaumont, L. W. Clawson, J. F. Houston and Mrs. E. J. Shippey of Tyler, Mrs. E. H. Matthews of Clawson, Mrs. J. W. Cates of Clawson, Mrs. Allen Orfutt of Tyler, Mary Nell and Nobie Jean Westbrook of Lufkin, J. W. and G. W. Hinson of Houston, Mrs. W. B. Evan of Houston, Mrs. F. E. Hazelwood of Keltys, and Mrs. W. A. Lovelady of Lufkin.
