Georgia Anna Corless first marriage Jonas W Sampson, 4 children second marriage Jerry Helgens, in 1925 after Jonas died Obit Mrs. Georgia Helgens died January 4, 1951, at St. Ann Hospital where she was taken after a fall at her home. Born in Pennsylvania May 24, 1860, Mrs. Helgens, whose maiden name was Georgia Ann Corless, was taken by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Corless to Nebraska when she was a small child. In her womanhood she came to Algona, and she lived here to her 91st yr. Mrs. Helgens was fist married to J.W. Sampson, who died in 1920. A second marriage took place in 1925 to Jerry Helgens, whose death took place in 1938. Living are, a sister 5 years older than she, Mrs. Rosa (J.E.) Nelson, Ames, Ne. and four children; Claude A. Sampson and Esther, Mrs. Karl Willasson, Algona; Charles Leonard Sampson, Hooper, Ne; Clinton Sampson, Glendale, Ca. There are 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren. From out of town in attendance were, Mr. & Mrs. Charles L. Sampson and Boys, Roy, Lyle and Wayne, all of Hooper, Ne. Mr. & Mrs. Don Willasson, and two daughters from Waterloo. She was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Algona, Ia.
