Born to Carl Raymond and Mary Ann Tindle Puckett in Winters, Runnels County, Texas. She married Hardy Meredith in Austin, Texas on May 28, 1953. 5 Children: Dona Jo 1954, Hardy Dale 1956, Frank Daryl 1958, Retha Charlene 1959, Stephen Dane 1964. Dona married Larry Robert Schoeneberg in 1975; Retha married Edward Carter in 1977; Hardy married Tracy Taplin in 1980 and then divorced and married Jeri Griffin in 1989. Frank and Stephen are both single. The family moved to Angleton, Brazoria County, Texas in 1968. At the time of her passing, she had 8 grandchildren, Retha Donyelle Schoeneberg (Jimmy/Divorced) Easterling, Tabitha Lynn Schoeneberg (PJ Lampson - Divorced)/(John - Divorced)Henry, Cynthia Raynea Carter, Edward Thomas (Jennifer Bass) Carter, Justin Lee (Candice Miller-divorced)/(Shawna) Schoeneberg, Hardy Christopher Taplin(Carley Caraway) Meredith, Heath Dale Meredith(Carolyn-divorced/Ashton), Blake Griffin Meredith(Karen), and 1 great-grandson, Brandon Lee Easterling 2000.
