Bio

William Franklin McCoy, 93, died Sunday, February 16, 1978 at the Gallatin County Rest Home in Bozeman, MT. He was born March 9, 1884 in Holt County, NE., the son of John Stephen and Ella (Lawyer) McCoy. His early adult years were spent farming in Nebraska. He married Mabel Jones in Lincoln, NE. on March 6, 1909. They moved to Gallatin Gateway in 1940 and lived there until her death in 1972. He worked as a carpenter for a number of years and was engaged in farming for a while. He was active in the affairs of his town and in life of the Community Christian Church of Galatin Gateway, and in recent years was a member of the Grand Ave. Christian Church of Bozeman. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Hester) Hart of Gallatin Gateway, Mrs Max (Margaret) Westbrook of Clyde Park and Mrs Arthur (Doris) Habel of Dutton; nice (Nine?) grandchildren and one brother, Milo H. of Longmont, CO. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bozeman, MT. Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service in charge of arrangements
