Services for Mary Elizabeth Nudd, 73, of Lufkin, were held August 5, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Mrs. Nudd was the daughter of Elma (Honeycutt) and Joseph Fregia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served for 20 years in the civil service. She enjoyed collecting pictures, china and antiques. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and attending the Word of Life Church. Survivors include her husband, Elmer L. Nudd; daughter, Peggy Wright; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Laura Starke, son, Michael Starke; daughters, Dianne Dorn and Debbie Berry; stepsons, Barry, Kevin and Rodney Nunn; borthers, Travis Fregia, Richard Freiga and Charles Fregia; sisters, Judy Honeycutt and Joan Honeycutt; grandchildren, Dwayne Wright, John Wright, Clinton Starke, Nathan Starke, Angel Starke, Amy Starke, Donald Starke Jr., Michael Stark, Jr., Trisha Nudd, Terrance Nudd, Jr., David Nudd, Michael B. Smith, Ryan Smith, Brittney Berry and Tyler Berry; 26 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nudd was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Starkes; brothers, Rudolph Fregia, Douglas Fregia, Randolph Fregia, John Paul Fregia, Rowland Fregia, Jerry Honeycutt and Robert Lee Fregia;sister Edwin Able.
