(Published in The Pampa Daily News, Vol. 67 - No. 34, Wednesday, May 16, 1973, Page 2) Charles Leon Crockett McLEAN - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in McLean Church of Christ for Charles Leon Crockett, 71, a longtime resident of McLean. He died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday evening. Jay Farber, minister, will officiate and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home. He was born May 21, 1901 in Seymore [sic], Tex., and moved to McLean from Memphis in 1913. He was married to Miss Almada [sic] Howard in McLean on Feb. 12, 1927. Mr. Crockett was a retired service station operator and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Charles, Wheeler; two daughters, Mrs. Collene Stewart and Mrs. Maurine Fosbee, both of McLean; three brothers, Emory and Sherman, both of McLean, and Curley, Ruidosa, [sic], N.M.; a sister, Mrs. Velma d'Spain, Briscoe; and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
