Bio

Kenneth Eugene Hany, 71, of 506 Elmhurst died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at Proctor Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Peoria. Born July 1, 1928, in Waldo Township in Livingston County to Alfred and Bernice Hershe Hany, he married Ann L. Samms on Jan. 24, 1959, in Washington. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Rodney (and Nancy) of Pekin; one brother, Robert (and Marilyn) of Bloomington; and three sisters, Marjorie Davis and Mrs. Will (Mary Ann) Howd, both of Peoria and Mrs. Norman (Barbara) Panther of Garden City, S.C. Four brothers preceded him in death. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9016. He was a kitchen designer for 40 years, working at Wahfield Manufacturing. He retired in 1987. He last worked as a kitchen designer at S & S Builders Hardware Co. in Peoria. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - Tuesday, December 21, 1999 .
