Virginia A. Krohn, age 68, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of the East Side in Chicago, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire after a 28 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Virginia lived most of her life in Chicago, and has been a resident of Chippewa Falls since 2002. She enjoyed working as a Customer Service Representative for Liberty Currency Exchange on the East Side for many years. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill; son, Bill (Christy) Krohn of Centerville, Minn; daughter, Ginny (Chuck) Shoemaker of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Victoria and Douglas Shoemaker, Samantha, Edward and Nicole Krohn; sister, Doris Stark of the East Side (Chicago, IL); nieces; nephews; other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Gheo Allison; sister, Ellen Ashbeck; brothers Louis, Ronald and Gunnar Allison. Funeral service 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Evergreen Funeral Home, Eau Claire (on Golf Road one block East of Hwy 93). Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
