Our loving husband and father, Stephen Barratt, died Thursday night, November 2, 1995, with these words in his heart, "Heaven is a beautiful place, full of Glory and Grace." He was surrounded by the loves of his life, Antonette (Toni), Rebekah (Becka), and Elizabeth (Betsy). Steve was born in American Fork, Utah, on January 13, 1949 to Reed and Lucinda Boulter Barratt. He graduated from Utah State University in Education. He received a Masters degree from Westminster College and taught for 18 years at Academy Park Elementary School. His students will always remember "Mr. B." and his cooperative learning teams. Steve and Antonette were married September 17, 1971 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Salt Lake City. He will always be in our hearts as the most gentle and sweet man we've known. He's been our best friend and confidante. His sense of humor prompted many crazy and zany episodes that will always be in the Barratt Hall of Memories. Steve had a strong and everlasting faith in God that upheld him through his many trials with cancer. His thoughts were always with us and how he could make our lives easier. Through his example he has taught us to live in the love. "Light changed from hope to faith, Faith to love, And love to Glorious Peace." Friends may call Monday, November 6, 1995, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West. A vigil service will follow at 6:30 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 7:30 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary.
