Eugene "Spike" Moore, 87, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away following an extended illness on Sunday, October 31, 2010, while in the company of family members at his son's home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was born on November 27, 1922, in Preston, Idaho, to Horatio and Ruby (Trullinger) Moore. He was the second of seven children, having four brothers and two sister. Spike enlisted in the military in 1943, and served until 1945, serving two years in World War II as Private First Class. He was in France, Germany and Italy. Spike was the recipient of the American Theater of Operations Service Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal as well as the Purple Heart. Eugene married Isabelle Fern Eden on August 28, 1946, in Pocatello, Idaho. Together they had two sons, Michael and Steven. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family. Spike was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years in 2002, his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Ranae) Moore, Steven (Tawna) Moore; two grandsons, Brian and Tim; and one brother, Forest (JoAnn) Moore
