Rodney Wayne Moore Rodney Wayne Moore, 62, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010. Services will be Saturday, Nov. 6th at 2 p.m. at Westmont Christian Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 5th between 7 and 9 p.m. at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home Rodney was truly a family man, holding family values above all others. He had many other passions in life - animals, art, engineering, racecars, science, and music, to name a few. Rodney's love of music was a large part of his life. He repaired and restored guitars, was a seasoned guitarist, and played in a local band with his son - performing for free to the public when he could. He always made new friends wherever he went. Rodney was generous to a fault. He would help others before he would help himself. Rodney and Yolonda shared 38 wonderful years not only as husband and wife but as best friends as well, enjoying everything together. Rodney was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Moore. He is survived by his wife, Yolonda Moore of Lubbock; daughter, Tavia Hatfield and Gary Hatfield of Lubbock; son, Rodney Moore, Jr. and Amy Moore of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Luke and Addyson Hatfield; and three step-grandchildren, Meagan, Max and Matt. Memorials may be made to the Kimberly Ann Moore Scholarship Fund through Texas Tech University.
