Bio
Victor "Vic" James Robb, 69, of Bartonville died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at his residence. Born Oct. 25, 1941, in Peoria, a son of Victor P. and Betty Abbey Robb, he was raised from birth by his loving grandmother, Cora B. Abbey. Vic married his soul mate, Myrna L. Chapai, on Aug. 21, 1992. She survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Cindy (Mark) Nolan of Xenia, Ohio, Danette (Kevin) Coffey of Peoria and Lori (Darby) Moll of Creve Coeur; one son, Fred (Heather) Williams Jr. of Manito; his mother-in-law, Velma Chapai; one sister, Linda Porch of Tennessee; and many half sisters. He was preceded in death by his father; his loving grandmother, Cora B. Abbey; and his father-in-law, Olen Chapai. Vic was a veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed by Peoria Blacktop Inc. for 24 years. He also served as steward for Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria for many years. Later employed by Teamsters Local 627, he was the recording secretary and business representative, retiring on Oct. 31, 2003. He was a member of the Retirees Club of Teamsters Local 627. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - October 27, 2010.
