Funeral services for Patsy Ruth Byram, 70, of Emory were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Williams, Rev. Billy smith, and Rev. Joe Perkins officiating. Burial followed in Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ken Clifton, Reagen Teel, Ray Willingham, Don Smith, Ernest Holman, and Michael Gaby. Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Byram died Thursday, May 20, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rains County on January 11, 1934, to Bud and Simmie Hooten Huddleston. She married Orban Kenneth Byram in Emory on October 13, 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of Emory Baptist Church. She was also a member of the "Amazing Grace" Sunday school class. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie and husband Terry Speed of Emory; a sister, Janie and husband Freddie Clifton of Emory; a brother, Robert and wife Lea Bishop of Point; grandchildren, Ken and wife Cody Clifton, Angela Robbins, Melanie and Chasity Speed, and Jason Bishop; great-grandchildren, Ryley Turner, and Kenlee Clifton. Mrs. Byram was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. Memorial donations may be made to the Emory Baptist Church Building Fund. As of 4/2025 no burial information could be found for her Father, Bud Huddleston.
