Parents: Father: Victor Earl Casteel Mother: Dora May Allen Marriage: April 11, 1958 Nampa, Canyon, Idaho Roy W. Casteel NAMPA — Services for Roy W. Casteel, 2714 Amity Avenue, Nampa, who died Tuesday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Alsip Chapel by Bishop Don Schlerf, Nampa Fifth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. He was born in Phillips, Hamilton County, Neb., where he attended school. In his early adult life he farmed with his father. He later moved with his family to Grand Island, Neb., and then to Salt Lake City where he worked as a cattle buyer for the Cudahay Packing Co. He later worked for the Safeway Co., Oakland, Calif., where he managed and supervised cattle buying for all Safeway packing plants. He later was transferred to Nampa as head purchaser until the plant was sold to the Armour Co. He then became an independent cattle buyer and worked closely with the Armour Co. He married Mary Eubanks of Nampa in 1969. Surviving are a daughter, Joan Zilaff., Sacramento, Calif,; three grandchildren by a former marriage; a sister and brother-in-law, Wayne, Neb.; six nieces; his wife, Nampa; three stepchildren, Jay Eubanks, Twin Falls, Jon Eubanks; Tacoma, Wash., and Jan Schlerf, Nampa; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
