Obit in Lake Charles American Press 11-2-2010. Helen (Willis) Hogan, 78, of Tullos, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 31, 2010, in the LaSalle Nursing Home of Jena. She was born in Glenmora on October 4, 1932 to the union of Lawrence Willis and Florence Doyle Willis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. Services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel in Oakdale with Rev. E. R. Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ras Johnson and Louis Hogan; five sisters, Cassie Pitre, Nellie Hanks, Ann Arceneaux, Erine Trahan and Ethel Mayo; two brothers, Wesley Willis and J. C. Willis; one granddaughter, Teresa L. Buxton Price; one son-in-law, Hershal Buxton; five daughters, Violet June Ashley, Minnie Gains, Desty Ware, Gertrude Kleppel, and Nellie Craig; and two sons, Andy Johnson and Bill Johnson. Survivors include her son, Michael N. Johnson and wife Denise of Covington, KY; four daughters, Carol Buxton, and Florence Berthiaume, both of Tullos, Kathy Corbello of Hayes and Helen Pittman of Crosby, TX; two brothers, J. Y. Willis and wife Brenda of Cleveland, TN, and J. E. Willis of Sulphur; two sisters, Ervie Carriere of Oakdale and Elvie Woodard and husband Huey of Pitkin; 35 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeremy Johnson, Aaron W. Lavergne, Blake Lavergne, Dillion Corbello, Aaron Michael Lavergne, and Kevin West. First husband was Erasmus Newton Johnson
