Bio

Sometime after 1880, James and his siblings along with their Widowed Mother relocated from Clarke Co.,Al & headed to the Great Land of Texas. In the 1900 census,James is found to be living in McLennan Texas, this is where his Mother had passed away in 1887. James married his Lovely Bride Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Smith from Al. 30 Oct 1892 in McLennan,Texas. To this union were at least 3 known children: Robert Eugene Creighton William Ralph Creighton Lizzie E Creighton But, sadly his Bride passed away by 1898. Then James was Blessed with another Beautiful Angel. He married Margaret 'Maggie' Harrison on 26 Jun 1898 in McLennan,Texas. Maggie also was from Clarke Co.,Al. To this union were at least 9 known children: Dollie Mae Creighton Ruby Inez Creighton Addis Lee Creighton L B Creighton Charlie James Creighton Eula Jewel Creighton James Joshua Creighton Jr Guy Harrison Creighton E C Creighton James was a farmer for all of his life, providing well for his family. According to the 1880 census of Choctaw Corner,Clarke,Alabama James was 11 yrs old & working on the farm.
