Marietta — Services for Girtrue Wolfe of Marietta, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Born August 26, 1923, east of Marietta in Love County the daughter of Odie Lee and Elue Lanford Claxton, Mrs. Wolfe passed away Friday, October 29, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 87. A homemaker, Mrs. Wolfe had been a resident of Love County all of her life. She and Herbert Wayne "Cotton" Wolfe were married in Marietta on October 15, 1940, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1996. Mrs. Wolfe graduated from Marietta High School in May 1941. She was a member of the Busy Bees and also the Love County Historical Society. Mrs. Wolfe was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Wayne Wolfe; an infant son; grandson, Robert Walker; sister, Myrtle Farrow; and two brothers, Ocie Claxton and Kenneth Claxton. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Mary Wolfe of Lindsay, Texas; two daughters, Delona Walker and Martha Lemke of Marietta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
