Bio

Evelyn Lucille (Foster) Sims, 82, of Marlin, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Gerald Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Osborn officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Mrs. Sims was born May 9, 1922, in McKinney. She lived most of her life doing what she loved most, serving others as a health care provider. Living her faith daily, she was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Waco Chapter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Len Bethel Foster and Rilla Stroud Foster; brothers, Elden and Albert foster; children, Lester Jr., Royce Orval, Irving Maurice, Melvin Morris and Love Clare; granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Patrick; and her husbands, Lester Patrick and Delma Hollis Sims. Survivors include brother, Weldon Foster and wife, Grace of Claremore, Okla.; children, Ralph Patrick and wife, Jean of Waco, Gail Patrick of Waco, Barbara Edwards and husband, Clyde of Hawley, Texas, LaVearn Patrick Camp of Hawley and husband, Charles of San Gabriel, Texas, Ivan Clancy Patrick of Austin, Dennis Earl Patrick of Waco, Esther Verna Burchett and husband, Doyle of Conroe and Cyril Verdell Patrick and wife, Patricia of Waco; daughter-in-law, Linda Patrick of Elm Mott; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
