Bio

Thomas R. (Tom) Gregory, 78, of Waco passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at his residence following a long courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Gerald Cemetery, with Herb Lammert officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. in Waco. Mr. Gregory was born on June 20, 1926, in Hood the son of John C. Gregory and Myrtle Van Frazier Gregory. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe from 1944 to 1946. After serving his country, he was employed with Humble Oil and later Central Texas Iron Works. He retired from Hercules in 1991. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by two sons, Steve Gregory and wife Marcia of West, Brian T. Gregory of Waco; daughter, Dana Gregory of Waco; two grandsons; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fuzzy Friends or Vistacare Hospice, 819 S. 5th Street, Temple, Texas 76504.
