Lee Franklin Craft died as a result of oil field explosion on 1 May 1947 and was buried on 2 May in White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, Van Zandt, Texas. The grave site is marked with a double headstone. The right hand side has inscription of his wife Mildred Augusta, born 15 Oct 1903. She is not buried here.
