She is buried beside her son, Fredrick B. Jensen and 1st husband in Ord Cemetery. Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord Nebr. Dec 1977 Vilhelmina Freeman Services at Ord Funeral services were held for Vilhelmina Margaret Freeman who died Dec. 8 1977 at the Valley County Hospital. She was 84. Pastor A L Meter officiated the rites at Bethany Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Ord cemetery. Mrs. Freeman was born Nov 3. 1893 at Chicago Ill., the daughter of August and Julia Behrendt. Her early life was spent in Chicago and she came with her parents to Valley county in 1908 where the family took a homestead in Wheeler county near Cedar River. On Dec.5 1912 she was united in marriage to Nels Jensen. They engaged in farming north of Ord after which they moved to a farm south and west of Ord, making this their home until 1936 when they moved to Ord. Mr. Jensen preceded her in death July 4 1943. On nov. 3 1948 she was united in marriage to William Freeman. They made their home on a farm in the Joint community until 1953 when they moved to Ord. Mr Freeman also preceded her in death July 13 1969. For the past three years Mrs. Freeman had been a patient of the hospital at various times. Most recently she was a resident of the Ord Rest Home. Vilhelmina was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, the Degree of Honor and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two nephews, Axel Jorgensen of Papillion and George Jensen of Folsum CA, three stepsons, Ray Freeman of Sioux City IA, Milo Freeman of North Platte and Virgil Freeman of Burwell; two stepdaughters Mrs. Luverda Long of Burwell and Mrs. Esther Taylor of Amelia; together with a host of other friends and relatives. Preceding her in death were her husbands, two sons, parents, one sister, one brother and three stepsons.
