Bio
From the Elk City Daily News Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Jantzen will be held in the Church of the Nazarene at 2 pm Monday. Rev. Charles Stroud will be the officiating minister. Burial will follow in the Red Hill cemetery just south of Hammon. Service arrangements are under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Jantzen was a long time resident of Elk City. She had made her home in Lawton the past few years to be near her son, Edgar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter E. Jantzen, April 28, 1956. okiegirl's note - Grandma Jantzen was known far and wide as an excellent cook and she loved to cook for her family. She once said that when she married into the Jantzen family she knew nothing of German cooking but she quickly learned--years later, her father-in-law told her that she could cook better than his mother!
