Ms. Sparks married Jefferson Davis Erwin, about 1944, in Gregg, Texas. Son Roy Randolph was born on December 13, 1945. She married Henry Clayton Koon in Miller County, Arkansas, on March 18, 1950. He was 41...she was 22. Daughter, Leslye Diane Koon, was born on March 21, 1951. Services for Wilma Fayne Francis, 77, of Friendswood, formerly of Longview, are scheduled for 11 a.m. today, January 26, 2005, in the Welch Funeral & Memorial Center Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with the Rev. Noah Lee officiating. A committal service will follow in the Welch Garden Court. Burial will be in Judson Cemetery. Mrs. Francis was born July 22, 1927, in Longview to Lee Roy and Ruby B. Woodard Sparks. She was a member of Rover Baptist Church in Rover, Tennessee. She was also senior mascot of the Friendswood Garden Club and took great, great pleasure in flowers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Diane Koon. She is survived by her son and daugher-in-law, Randy and May Erwin of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and James Rollins of Goldthwaite; son, Lynn Sparks of Denton; a sister, Lavelle Brown of Summerset, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nephews, Lamont and Ted Brown. Following the service, the family will receive friends in Welch Garden Court. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P. O. Box 906, Longview, Texas, 75606.
