Stanford Richard Wilde, age 81, passed away October 19, 2010 in Provo, Utah. He was born August 2, 1929 in American Fork, Utah, to Stanford J and Dessie Wilde. Stanford married Marcia Noyes May 6, 1955 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Stanford graduated from the US Naval Academy. He served honorably for his country in the Korean War and rose to the rank of Captain. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed crafting fly rods and tying flies. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia; two children: Jason Richard Wilde and Christie Michelle (Adam) Rodgers; and three grandchildren: Justin, Austin and Sara Rodgers. Preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October, 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the American Fork LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 300 N 100 E. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Saturday from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery where military honors will be presented by the VFW District 4.
