Times Daily - October 19, 1964 Mrs. Emma Pierce Mrs. Emma Pierce, 83, Phil Campbell, died yesterday at the residence after an illness of one week. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of the Baptist Church. Services were today at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetry. The Reverends Cecil and Lester Hood officiated. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. D. C. Davidson and Mrs. Ervin Morgan of Phil Campbell, and Mrs. J.D. Hardy and Mrs. R.A. Gann of Russellville; three sons, Paul Pierce of Russellville, Guy Rice of Decatur, Virgil Rice of Phil Campbell; three step-sons, Mack Pierce and Homer Pierce of Russellville and Elmer Pierce of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Adrian Minor and Mrs. Mattie Nicklson, both of Russellville; two brothers, Walter Nolan of Hatton and Agber Nolan of Mt. Hope; 35 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
