Graveside services for Barbara Burrell, 71, of Lubbock will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Sanders Funeral Home. Barbara lived a happy life until she passed away Oct. 14, 2010. Barbara was born March 27, 1939 in Batson, Texas. She married Knowles Wayne Burrell, Sr., Aug. 14, 1955. K.W. and Barbara were foster parents to over 200 children during her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 29, 2010, and her sons, Jerry Dwayne and Robert Burrell. She was also preceded by her daughter-in-law, Tracy Burrell of Valparaiso, Ind. Barbara will be deeply missed by her children, Knowles Wayne, Jr. and Trecia Burrell of Lubbock, Ginger and Wyndell Goodin of Ardmore, Okla., John Burrell of Valparaiso, Ind. and Tobe Burrell of Beaumont, Texas. Grandchildren include Carmen and John Cooke, Amanda Burrell, Knowles III and Roxanna Burrell, Tori and Mike Curtis, Devin Southcott, Caleb Goodin, Sydney Burrell and Wynde Goodin. Great-grandchildren include Jordan, Kayleigh, Elana, Parker, Tyler, London and Alexander; and her sister, Maxine Waldrop. Multiple nieces and nephews will also miss her.
