Dallas Morning News December 17, 1934 Dec 16th [Forney] Mrs. M. J. Fowler, 98, died here. Burial in Hill Crest Cemetery. She would have been 99 January 12th. Survived by a son, Dr. E. M. Fowler of Dallas, Mrs. Jannie Cole of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mrs. C. C. Treadcraft of Norfolk, Virginia and Mrs. Minnie Carroll of Los Angeles. She was born in Georgia in 1836, coming to Texas twenty-five years ago. She was the widow of Dr. Adolphus Fowler of Chattanooga, Tennessee, whom she married in 1858.
