Bio
Son of Berrick and Mary Margaret "Peggy" Weaver Watkins. Wed Nancy Elizabeth "Betty" Smith, 13 Jan 1867, Bradley County, Tennessee. According to the 1880 Census of Bradley Co., TN, Eli was born in GA. In that census they had five girls and two boys. They were Lola Ann (12), Martha I. (11), Louiza E. (6), Mimie (5), John WATKINS (3), Susan (2) and David (1 month) all born in TN. They were in TX before 1886, when Eli died. Total children were Lola Ann/McCoy, Martha Belle/Mantooth, William H. Watkins, Louisa Elise "Lize" Elizabeth/Vermillion, Georgia, Minnie Augusta/Cameron/Massey, John, King David, and Levi "Lee" Watkins.
