Bio
Iva Ray age 97, of Mesquite, Texas, formerly of Princeton, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2008. She was born on June 13, 1911, in Altoga, Texas to John Kennedy Moreland and Ella Moore Moreland. On March 25, 1933 she married Charles Thomas Ray in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a beautician and seamstress. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Green and husband Bill of Mesquite, Texas; grandson, Terry Green and wife Mara Lee of Flower Mound, Texas; granddaughter, Sherri Berson and husband Craig of Highland Park, Texas; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Green, Caroline Green, Reagan Smith and Sidney Smith; nephews, Charles Dunn and wife Margie of Allen, Texas and Roy Dunn of Richardson, Texas; niece Pat Oldham and husband Fred of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 13, 1985 and two sisters, Leta Dunn and Lula Womble. Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Stan Fike officiating. Interment will follow at Altoga Cemetery. The family received friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
