Bio

The Carnegie Herald, Wed., July 29, 1943 Funeral Sunday For Mrs. C.R. Treadaway Final rites for Mrs. C.R. Treadaway, a resident of the Cowden community for more than 40 years, were held at the Valley View Baptist church Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for the past six months. Services were conducted by Alvis O. Merrill and Omer Delk and burial was in the Sappington chapel cemetery. Always active in church and Rebekah work, Mrs. Treadaway was well known in Washita county. Survivors besides her husband, Chas. R. Treadaway, are their children, four sons and four daughters. They are Dave of Cloud Chief; Henry and Tom of Cordell and George, who is in foreign service of the U.S. Army; Mrs. J.C. Morris and Mrs. F.B. Jones, Cowden; Mrs. Alton Lunsford, Cloud Chief, and Miss Gladys Treadaway at home.
