Son of Thomas Elmer Blount (1876-1907) and Alice Adeline Garrett (1879-1935). Thomas and Alice were married on 9 Dec 1895 in Hunt County, Texas and they had at least five children - Floyd Elmer (1896-1954), Lawrence Murphy (1898-1959), Hal Holt (1900-1981), ERNEST WILLIE and Lena Ellen (1904-1981). NOTE: Military records show he was born in Yowell, Hunt County, but only Delta County shows up on the location. Married Geraldine Page (1912-1968) on 18 Jun 1932 in Dallas County, Texas.
