Bio

James Clifford Crim, 75, of Bement died May 21, 1971 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Services were held in the Roux Funeral Home Sunday with burial in Bement Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rolland Hubert, Robert Penny, Robert Spalding, George Wilkinson, Joe Rittenhouse and H. E. Rans. He was born in McKinney, Texas Jan 6, 1896 the s/o Frank and Ora Talkington Crim. He married Ellen Shepherd on June 19, 1920; she died May 20, 1958. On Feb 7, 1962 he married Aimee E. Lindstrom in Champaign. He is survived by his wife; a son, James Elmas and one daughter, Virginia (Harold) Wallace, both of Bement. Also surviving is a brother, Scott; and sisters: Mrs. Lura Bearden, Mrs. Margaret Foster, both of McKinney TX; and Mrs. Nellie Tower of Receda CA; and seven grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters preceded in death. He moved to Bement in 1922. He was a building contractor by trade. He was a veteran of WW I and a 50-year member of Albert Parker Post 620 of the American Legion. Memorials can be made to the Church of your choice in Mr. Crim's name.
