Bio

Mrs. Lula Mae Adkins, 81, of 2205 Foxglen Drive, Greensboro died Friday, July 30, 2004 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Larry Pope and the Rev. Vernon Gales officiating. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church of the Gethsemane Cemetery. Mrs. Adkins was born October 3, 1922 in Rockingham County, N.C. to the late William Jefferson and Lucy Caroline Nance Sparks. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and her husband, William Thomas Adkins. Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine Tate and husband Wayne, Linda Craig, Brenda Kozlovsky and husband Daniel; four sons, Donald Adkins and wife, Margaret, Robert Adkins and wife, Rhonda, Sammy Adkins and wife, Janet, Eugene Adkins and wife Karla; sister, Minnie Lee Sparks; brother, Henry Sparks; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Saturday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service and other times at Robert Adkins, 4053 150 East, Browns Summit.
