Ardmore — Funeral services for Martha Fay Hembree, 78, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Norton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends this evening, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. Born August 1, 1932, in Springer, Oklahoma, to the late Bill Wesley and Eula Francis (Carter) Pursley, she died Sunday afternoon, October 3, 2010, at the Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore. Martha lived most of her life in the Ardmore area. She married William Walker Hembree on August 5, 1965, in Orr, Oklahoma. She had worked as a nurse's aide at Brookside Manor in Madill and as a custodian at the Lone Grove Elementary School. Martha loved reading the Bible and listening to Christian music. She enjoyed her visits by her children and grandchildren, and loved the old cowboys and the old western movies. She also loved to fish with a cane pole. Martha had attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church on Prairie Valley Road. Martha is survived by her children, Cindy Mendell of Coleman, Oklahoma, Linda Keller and husband, Ricky of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, William Hembree and wife, Ladonua of Mena, Arkansas, and Danny Hembree and wife, Lori of Springfield, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Ricky W. Keller II and Rodney E.W. Keller, both of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Jessica Parkins, Kailee Miller and Kristie Margraf, all of Mena, Arkansas; sisters, Margaret Brown of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Mildred Cook of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, and Lucille Kingston of Keller, Texas; and brother, Frank Pursley of Ada, Oklahoma. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Marie Merritt; and two brothers, Melvin Pursley and Marvin Pursley.
