Rev. Daniel Cooper, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Luxemburg cemetery. The former Mary Iwan, she is survived by five children. Her husband died 10 years ago. '''''''''''''''''' The Daily Telegram (Columbus, Nebr.), April 30, 1943, p. 3, col. 2 Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Zieons DAVID CITY, April 30 (Special to The Telegram) – Last rites for Mrs. Mary Zieons, 60, who died Sunday morning at her home near here were held at 9:30 a.m. yesterday at Luxemburg church. Rev. Daniel Cooper officiated and burial was in Luxemburg cemetery. Pallbearers were Pfc. William Iwan, Pvt. John Chyzy, John Micek, Edward Iwan, and Eddie Micek. Survivors are three sons, Pvt. Joseph Zieons of Bakersfield, Calif., Cpl. Frank Zieons of Nashville, Tenn., and Charles Zieons at home; two daughters, Mrs. John Kraus of Madrid, and Miss Balbina of Lincoln; five sisters, Mrs. Jacob Micek of Shelby, Mrs. Julia Tomasiewicz of Clarks, Mrs. Zaphe Micek of Silver Creek, Mrs. Alois Micek, and Miss Helen Iwan, both of Columbus, and two brothers, Charles Iwan of Osceola, and John Iwan of Columbus. Out-of-town relatives and friends, who attended the service were Mrs. Rose Iwan and family, Mrs. Louise Laska, Mrs. Louise Cich, Mrs. Joseph Swantel, all of Osceola, John Kampawicz and family, Anton Micek, Frank Micek, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Micek, Miss Helen Micek, and Mrs. Andrew Micek, all of Shelby, Mrs. Anna Iwan and family, Mrs. Mary Smolanski of Silver Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Armatys, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Drvol of Cedar Rapids.
