Three children are shown: Arthur, Ruby and Maynon she shown as age 1-1/12 INFORMATION from Lawrence and Sue Dale: As the local story goes, this family was traveling through the area and she died. Many years later a marker was placed for her. We have not found a death certificate for her. With the addition of the maiden name as RAY, and there are some later RAY burials in the Leesville Cemetery, we are coming to a conclusion that she may have died elsewhere and that she was brought back to Leesville to be buried near distant relatives. The marker shown is not the original and was placed in the last 15 years. The Federal Census for 1930 has the remnant family in Rains County, Texas. There are 5 children shown: Arthur, Ruby, Marion, Bradford and Dollie. The Paris News (Paris TX), 2 Jun 1978, Fri, pg 4 TOWN TALK – MRS.
