Daughter of: Andrew Jackson Lewis and Sarilda Jane Reagan Estancia Rites Planned for Mrs. Montgomery Funeral services will be held in Estancia today for Mrs. Pettis Lewis Montgomery, mother of State Prison Board Chairman (Andrew) A. K. Montgomery, who died Sunday in Albuquerque after an illness. Mrs. Montgomery, a resident of Santa Fe, moved to New Mexico about 30 years ago with her husband, the late (Victor Hope) V. H. Montgomery. They settled at Estancia, and after his death in 1929, she moved to Santa Fe, where she became known as a writer, poet, and artist. Other survivors include a daughter, Betty in Santa Fe, and a son, Wylie, in Avinger, Tex. Another son, Hope, died in 1954. Albuquerque Journal, April 17, 1956
