G. W. DAVIS - BELTON, TX November 25, 1973 Funeral for Grayson W. Davis, 60, of 912 Sharon Road in Belton, will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Heartfield Funeral Home, the Rev. Clyde Markee officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Davis was born in Temple, son of the late Capel B. and Lydia Vickers Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired railway postal clerk. He married Thelma Lee Jones Oct. 17, 1937, in Waco. Surviving are his wife, one daugheter, Mrs. Joseph D. Harwood of Houston; one son, Grayson L. Davis of Houston; six sisters, Miss Margaret Davis and Miss Mildred Davis both of Temple, Mrs. J. B. Jones of Belton, Mrs. O.D. Lewis of Waco, Mrs Everett L. Davis of Lynwood, Calif. and Mrs. Raymond Carroll of Fairmont, WV; two granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richd B. Gary, J. R. Holland, Homer C. Jones, John W. Jones, J. B. Jones and O.D. Lewis. Memorials can be made to the Heart Fund or a favorite charity. **From obit collection of Millard Herring, former caretaker of Resthaven Cemetery.
