Jerry Novotny passed away at his home in Corsicana on September 24, 2010 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Frances, and their children, David and spouse Margaret Novotny, Mary Frances and spouse Charlie Jones, Mel and spouse Vicki Novotny, Steve and spouse Lesa Novotny, Linda and spouse Charlie Ellis; his grandchildren Shawn and spouse Cleona Dawson, Ryan and spouse Rachel Dawson, Jennifer and spouse Jeff Whitehill, Rebecca Novotny, Laura Novotny, David Novotny, Robert and spouse Amanda Novotny, Chelsea and spouse Colin Ward, Chelsea Ellis, Elizabeth and spouse Scott Seibel, Jared Novotny; great grandchildren Courtney Dawson, Leah Dawson, Morgan Dawson, Peyton Dawson, Logan Hoyt; sisters Molly Jekel and Mary Costlow. Jerry was one of eleven children and a marine veteran. Upon his retirement after 26 years from Hughes Tools, Jerry was active in Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A rosary service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Corsicana on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 am followed by a graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis.
